Review: The Bold type

A tale about, friendship, love, career growth, and life all blended together in this new series. The bold Type calls out for strong women to support each other. We see independent women who are carving out their identities with their bold choices and raising their voices within an establishment dominated by all men. A story of three best friends in their mid-twenties working in a high-end industry. They start from a minimal job at a fashion magazine, and progress throughout to find the right place for their talent.

Storyline

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

To me, the story was totally relatable. On-going struggles with love, life, work, we all have been there somewhere. I still found the series goody two shoes because of the support the trio has at the end of the day. At times in real life, it’s always not the case.

Scripting

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

The scripting was good, like really good. I kept remembering how many have I have closet time with my friends, over the years. the story was not much of a drag for my likeness. The characters were evolving throughout the series.

Actors and Acting

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Flawless-style, realistic expressions of excietment, fury, anger, grief and loss. the best of all I loved Aisha Dee who plays the character of Kat Edison on the series.
